Carnival Miracle – Hawaiian cruise (port 3) – Nawiliwili Bay (Kauai)

Kauai was probably my favorite stop. Personally, I think it was the prettiest of the islands and cities we visited. For this port we took a Movie Excursion which gave us a chance of to ride around in an air-conditioned bus and visit pretty movie locations. Our guides were fun and engaging.

The per person fee for the excursion was around $50 and included lunch. I am not a pork eater but I didn’t really want a salad and our options were limited (understandably) so I went with pulled pork because HAWAII. Let me just tell you…it. was. amazing. Like, I would love to have another one, kinda delicious. I couldn’t believe how yummy it was.

I don’t usually eat pork, but this was one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth!

I wish I’d taken notes, because my memory is terrible, as I doubt I will ever remember all of the stops we made along the way. They took us to a waterfall from an Elvis movie, the filming spot of the U.S.S. Minnow crashing in Gilligan’s Island, even the gorgeous spot where Jurassic Park was filmed. Kauai was so lush and green. I couldn’t believe it. It would not hurt my feelings to go there again.
