Hi there! Welcome to Shutter in the South. I am Amanda Graham, from Huntsville Alabama. My love of photography started in my childhood. My maternal grandmother always had a camera pointed at us grandchildren and kept massive photo albums I loved flipping through.  I’ve never liked being in front of the camera though. I much prefer being behind it.

On this site, I will be sharing photos from my travels, events (concerts, sports), and other random things. I can’t wait to watch my progress by looking through my gallery here. Eventually, I would love to get into taking photos for clients, perhaps even weddings. Currently, I’m still learning my camera and what I need to do to get photos looking the way I want. I formerly used a Canon T3i and a couple of kit lenses but I recently (Jan 2018) bought a Canon 6D Mark II and can not wait to share the photos I take with it. I currently own a 50mm lens and have my eye on a 70-200mm f/2.8. For photo editing, I use Lightroom Classic CC and occasionally, Photoshop CC.
